”Ghost tree” in Megumino

There is a tree, estimated age of about 160 years. Children call it ”ghost tree” and fear it.

In 1979, the development of Megumino New Town began. However, when construction workers tried to cut this tree, accidents occurred every time. So, they couldn't cut it and decided to leave it.

I don't know if it's true or not. But the ”ghost tree” keep watching over us.

おばけの木(恵庭市恵み野)

樹齢およそ160年。こどもたちが恐れる「おばけの木」がある。

1979年に、恵み野ニュータウン開発が始まった。当時この木を切ろうとした建設作業員はみな怪我をしたというのだ。そのため彼らはこの木を切ることは断念し、残すことに決めたのだった。

本当かどうかは謎である。が、今日もおばけの木は私たちを見つめている。
