Eniwa Toyosaka shrine, located in the middle of Eniwa city, is dedicated to Okunitama-no-Okami and Toyoukehime-no-kami.
Okunitama-no-Okami is known as a diety of nation-building. And Toyoukehime-no-kami is known as a diety of food.
Toyosaka shrine was established in 1891 as a small shrine "hokora", called Eniwa shrine. The old main hall, "shaden", was built in 1934, and the current main hall was built in 1981.

This is not well known that there are so many kinds of Omikuji(fortune slip) and Omamori (Japanese amulet).

Maybe it's the most types of Omamori in Hokkaido. (About 50 types, I think)
For example, for good health, safe journey, academic achievement, HELLO KITTY omamori, etc.

I recommend you to buy Shiawase-mamori, which means Omamori for happiness. Because it can be effective for ALL wishes!
In autumn, we have Reitai-sai(regularly festival). You can enjoy a lot of street stalls!

Happy New Year!!
I visited Eniwa Toyosaka shrine for HATSUMOUDE! And I drew an Omikuji and got small Maneki-neko(beckoning cat) as a freebie! It's so cute!

"HATSUMOUDE" Many Japanese people visit a shrine/temple to pray for health and happiness on New Year's/New Year's eve. This is called "HATSUMOUDE".
Eniwa people visit here for HATSUMOUDE. And they buy an Omamori, Hamaya (ritual arrows to drive away devils) or Omikuji. ______________________
